Indian Navy MiG-29K veers off runway during take-off

A Indian Navy MiG-29K veered off the runway today while taking off at Gao. The pilot, under training, ejected safely and the jet caught fire.

The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) AgilePod multi-sensor reconfigurable pod was recently integrated on Textron Aviation Defense’s Scorpion light attack ISR aircraft.

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – The Air Force Research Laboratory’s AgilePod is shown mounted on the wing of the Textron Aviation Defense’s Scorpion Light Attack/ISR jet. The AgilePod is an Air Force-trademarked, multi-intelligence reconfigurable pod that enables flight-line operators to customize sensor packages based on specific mission needs. A fit check held late December, 2017, provided an opportunity to demonstrate the ability of the pod to rapidly integrate onto a new platform with short notice, highlighting the benefits of Sensor Open Systems Architecture. AgustaWestland to deliver AW159 to Philippine Navy at the end of the year

Taiwan wishes to buy SLAM-ER, JASSM for its F-16Vs

Taiwan is seeking to buy the new air-launched long-range precision guided munitions for its F-16Vs and the AGM-158 JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) and AGM-84K SLAM-ER (Standoff Land Attack Missile-Expanded Response) are what the Air Force wanted.

India buys bombs from Russia and Baraks from Israel, cancels order for Spike
