The CMV-22B will reach initial operational capability in September 2020, a draft environmental assessment by the U.S. Navy has disclosed.

The service is still trying to determine the final location for the type’s Fleet Replacement Squadron. Two locations are being considered: NAS North Island in San Diego and Naval Station Norfolk.
As for the C-2A, the aircraft will be retired at Norfolk in 2016.
