Qatar-U.K. operational squadron to secure skies during World Cup 2022

Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah disclosed during his speech at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London that a joint Qatar-U.K. operational squadron will help protect the airspace during World Cup 2022 in Doha.

Both countries agreed last month to set up the joint unit for supporting Qatar’s Eurofighter procurement program.
