CO of VMM-265 fired

Marine Corps Times reported that the commanding officer of VMM-265 was fired by Brig. Gen. Thomas Weidley, the commanding officer of the 1st Marine Air Wing on Jan. 26.

Lt. Col. Bryan Swenson was removed from his post “due to loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead his command,” Marine spokeswoman 1st Lt. Karoline Foote told Marine Corps Times.
