Russia refuses to speculate on source of MANPADS that shot down Su-25 in Syria

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment when he was asked who might have supplied the Man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) that shot down one of its Su-25 in Syria.

Russian senator Igor Morozov earlier claimed that Ukraine had supplied the system to ISIS in Syria.

“Clearly, one should be cautious about making such statements before one gets precise information as to how terrorists in Syria got that particular man-portable air defense system and other weapons that they have,” Peskov noted.
