Finland to buy RIM-162 ESSM for its Squadron 2020 corvettes

The Trump administration has approved the sale of 68 RIM-162 Evolved SEASPARROW Missiles (ESSM) to Finland.

Finland will be integrating the missiles on its Squadron 2020 class corvettes. If the Foreign Military Sales goes thru, up to 12 U.S. Government personnel will be based in Finland for up to five years to provide necessary support.
