Rafael offers upgrade package for South Africa’s Gripens

Israeli arms supplier Rafael has proposed a series of upgrades to South Africa in order to bring its Gripens to 4.5 generation standard.

The company has proposed to swap the Litening 3 targeting pod to 4.1 version and install a IP Mobile Ad-hoc Network Software Defined Radio.

Python 5 and the I-Derby ER air-to-air missiles are offered as well.
