The Pentagon wants to have an aircraft carrier in the European theater in response to recent Russian activities in the region.

The flotilla of warships have been underway since leaving Norfolk on Apr. 11.

No final decision has been made yet and the topic is under discussion at the highest level in the Department of Defense.
