Thai aircraft carrier in anti-submarine exercise with U.S. Navy

Royal Thai Navy aircraft carrier HTMS Chakri Naruebet is participating in an anti-submarine and maritime domain awareness exercise with the U.S. Navy.

The five-day exercise starts today in the Andaman Sea. Other Thai military assets taking part are: Khamronsin-class corvette HTMS Long Lom (FS 533), Naresuan-class frigate HTMS Taksin (FFG 422) and HTMS Naresuan, and S-70B Seahawk helicopter.

The U.S. Navy is represented by USS Halsey (DDG-97), a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine and a P-8 Poseidon.
