CH-53K program eight months behind schedule

A Selected Acquisition Report on the CH-53K program seen by Bloomberg says Lockheed Martin may be falling behind schedule and the initial operational capability could be deployed by eight months.

Pentagon officials found that a significant number of components require redesign and re-qualification. A spokesperson from Lockheed Martin replied that most of these items are already “fixed and proven or are in process.”
