A new U.S. Government Accountability Office assessment believes Boeing will not be able to deliver all 18 KC-46 aerial refueling tankers this year and will only be able to achieve so in May 2019.
Separately, Air Force Under Secretary Matt Donovan told Bloomberg that Boeing is “very pressurized” to fix issues that has delayed the delivery of the tanker to the U.S. Air Force.
He added that he has seen software fixes that “will vastly improve” the refueling operations.
