Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has offered to assemble another 40 Su-30MKI fighters for the Indian Air Force for $2.4 billion.

HAL Chairman T Suvarna Raju said these fighters can be utilized to carry the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile and the Indian Air Force will not be required to modify existing Su-30MKIs to carry the missile.
