Recent scandals could ruin KAI’s chances of winning T-X competition

Korea Times says Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is facing headwinds in its bid to sell the T-50A to the U.S. Air Force after recent scandals.

The South Korean firm’s former CEO and other executives were indicted for alleged bribery and embezzlement last year. The company’s hiring of U.S. President Donald Trump’s longtime personal lawyer Michael Cohen has also generated negative news.

An anonymous source told Korea Times that “KAI is on the verge of losing a chance to win the bid.”
