The U.S. Embassy in Manila officially transferred a Special Airborne Mission Installation and Response (SABIR) system to the Philippine Air Force at Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, on Aug. 14.

The transfer was carried out under the Maritime Security Initiative (MSI) funding, a U.S. initiative to build the maritime capacity of Southeast Asian nations.
