The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced on Sept. 14 that its Principal Director for Security Assistance Ms. Michèle Hizon and State Secretary of Defence, for the Netherlands, Ms. Barbara Visser have signed a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) for the modernization of 28 AH-64Ds to the E variant.

Netherlands was cleared by the U.S. government to remanufacture these helicopters back in February. The package includes upgrading 51 T700-GE-701C engines to T700-GE-701D standard.
