Two U.S. Army Black Hawk pilots are suing Sikorsky over a crash that killed their crew chief

A U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter crashed at the Breton Bay Golf and Country Club in Leonardtown, Maryland last year and now two of the pilots that survived the crash are suing Sikorsky, a company under Lockheed Martin.

The crash killed the crew chief of the aircraft, Spc. Jeremy Tomlin. His widow is joining the suit as well.

An investigation into the accident by the Army found that the tail rotor had failed in-flight after the internal laminate skin disintegrated.
