U.S. mulls deployment of Homeland Defense Radar in Japan

Anonymous Japanese defense officials are saying that the United States is thinking of deploying its new Homeland Defense Radar in Japan.

The new radar will plug a gap in the Pacific region. It will provide greater coverage than the existing TPY-2 radar in Aomori and Kyoto prefectures.
