China’s defense researcher Liu Yongtan was recently honored with the top science award at the National Science and Technology Award Conference.
Liu was cited for his work on Over-the-Horizon (OTH) radar technology. A senior member of Liu’s team confirmed to the South China Morning Post that the new system would be a ship-based OTH.
