Japan will embark on a program to develop an electronic attack capability. It will be introduced on the Kawasaki C-2 in fiscal year 2027.
There are also plans to develop an electronic attack variant of the P-1 for the Maritime Self-Defense Force.
Currently, the second C-2 prototype has been converted into an ELINT platform.
