RAF’s High-G training center opens

The Royal Air Force’s new High-G training and test facility at RAF Cranwell was officially opened on Feb. 4.

Compared to the previous trainer, which dates from the 1950s, this new facility has a flyable cockpit that allows Royal Navy and Royal Air Force pilots to replicate flight in aircraft such as the Hawk, Typhoon and F-35 while experiencing up to 9G.
