U.S. Army confirms plan to purchase Iron Dome anti-missile system

The U.S Army has confirmed that it will be buying two sets of the Israeli Iron Dome anti-missile system to assess it ability to “protect deployed U.S. military service members against a wide variety of indirect fire threats and aerial threats.”

The statement added that no decision has been made on which specific theaters the systems will be deployed and the “U.S. Army will assess a variety of options for its long-term IFPC solution.”
