U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher has suggested that Mark VI patrol boat be modified to carry the AGM-158C LRASM (Long Range Anti-Ship Missile).

The boats will then be deployed from U.S. Navy amphibious assault ships to create a near-constant presence in disputed or strategic regions.
