French carrier task force to participate in joint exercise with JMSDF in Pacific

The French Navy has decided to send its sole aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to the Pacific Ocean from March.

The five-month deployment will see the task force – comprising of the carrier, three destroyers, one supply ship and one submarine – exercising with Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the navies of Egypt and India.
