The second battalion’s Echo company has been credited with killing more than 340 fighters between August 2014 and July 2015 alone. It has been labeled as the Army’s most lethal unit ever.

Unlike their air force counterparts, who operate the General Atomics aircraft for primarily intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, the Night Stalkers are using the MQ-1C for hunter-killer missions.

They are not operated from the United States as well, Echo company deploys its personal to the theater.

Besides the Middle East, Echo company has sent its drones to Africa “to go after high-value targets” during counter-terrorism missions in the continent.
