CO of VMFA-242 fired

The commanding officer of VMFA-242 has been relieved of command due to “loss of trust and confidence.”

An anonymous source told Marine Corps Times that the firing may have been related to the fatal crash of a KC-130J with a F/A-18D from VMFA-242 on Dec. 6 last year.
