Russia to convert Tu-214 into AEW platform

The Russian Aerospace Forces has approved the project to turn the Tu-214 airliner into an airborne early warning (AEW) platform.

Jane’s says the new aircraft will use a scaled-down variant of the radar carried by the A-100.
