Japan wants to develop killer satellite

The Yomiuri Shimbun reports that Tokyo is studying a plan to develop a killer satellite that can take down another satellite in space using a robotic arm.

Anonymous sources say a decision will be made by the end of the next fiscal year so that the satellite can be launch in the next decade.

Simultaneously, the Defense Ministry intends to develop a jamming system that will first target airborne early warning platforms and eventually foreign satellites.
