Putin proposes to buy back MiG-29s from Malaysia and offer MiG-35s

A senior executive from Russia’s Rostec told New Straits Times that Russian President Vladimir Putin is keen to sell two squadrons of MiG-35 to Kuala Lumpur and will buy back 18 grounded MiG-29s.

Dr Victor Kladov, Rostec State Corporation’s international cooperation and regional policy director, said the proposal was discussed with Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad this month.
