Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria has confirmed that his service will proceed with the purchase of 21 MiG-29s and 12 Su-30MKIs.

The MiG-29s are white tails and the Su-30MKIs will be built locally by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) in Nashik.
