An army in Southeast Asia is getting a comprehensive, multi-layered array of UAS

Elbit Systems announced on Oct. 6 that it was awarded a contract valued at approximately $153 million to supply an Army of a country in Southeast Asia with a comprehensive, multi-layered array of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The contract will be performed over a 22-month period.

Ronald Reagan CSG, Boxer ARG operate together in South China Sea

The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group joined forces to conduct security and stability operations in the South China Sea, a press release from the U.S. 7th fleet says.

60th anniversary of the surface-to-air missile’s combat debut

On this day 60 years ago, a S-75 surface-to-air missile was fired by China’s 2nd surface-to-air missile battalion in Beijing and it shot down a Martin RB-57D Canberra high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft, #5643, over Tong County Zhangjiawan. It was the first time that a surface-to-air missile had brought down an aircraft.
