F-35A student pilot saves aircraft during in-flight computer failure

Capt. Robert Larson, a 61st Fighter Squadron student pilot, was able to save his jet during a training mission in May this year after one of its flight computers failed.

That particular computer controls the onboard oxygen, pressurization, and some parts of communication. There was also a risk that the landing gear could collapse during touch down.

Luckily, he was able to land safely and shut down the aircraft at the end of the runway.
