The High Energy Laser with Integrated Optical-dazzler and Surveillance (HELIOS) system made by Lockheed Martin has cleared the Critical Design Review (CDR) process.

It will undergo system integration before going to Wallops Island for land-based testing. Once cleared, it will be integrated into an Arleigh Burke destroyer next year.
