Future Carrier 2030 Task Force effort canceled

The new Acting U.S. Navy Secretary James McPherson has canceled a study initiated by his predecessor. The Future Carrier 2030 effort was supposed to be a 6-month study on the future of the aircraft carrier in the sailing branch.

The focus will now be on supporting the future force structure review under the office of Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
