The King of Thailand has donated three Cessna 182T light aircraft to the Army. The planes were shown during a blessing ceremony at Don Muang military terminal on Jul. 8.
Army chief Gen. Apirat Kongsompong says the aircraft will be assigned to the 21st Aviation Battalion under the Army Aviation Centre at a military base in Lop Buri province.
They will be used for patrols to deter forest encroachment, illegal immigration and drug smuggling.
