Ronald Reagan CSG in trilateral exercise with Australian and Japanese warships in Philippine Sea

Shortly after completing a dual carrier opearations with Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group has commence another exercise with the navies of Australia and Japan.

Taking place in the Philippine Sea from Jul. 19 till 23rd, the warships participating are: USS Ronald Reagan, USS Antietam (CG 54, USS Mustin (DDG 89), HMAS Canberra (L02), HMAS Hobart (DDG 39), HMAS Stuart (FFH 153), HMAS Arunta (FFH 151), and HMAS Sirius (O 266). Participating from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) is JS Teruzuki (DD 116).

The JMSDF says it will continue to participle in multi-national exercises in order “to purse the vision of a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” even under COVID19 situation.”
