Watch Luftwaffe chief escorting the jet of Israeli Air Force chief into German airspace

Six Israeli Air Force F-16s have landed at Nörvenich airbase, Germany for the service’s first joint exercise in the country with the Luftwaffe.

A delegation led by Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin was welcomed into German airspace by leftwaffe chief, Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz, himself flying a Eurofighter. The G550 executive jet was flown by the IAF’s first female squadron commander.

Later today, a joint German-Israeli flight will fly over Fuerstenfeldbruck airbase to commerate the 1972 attack on the Summer Olympics and also over the concentration camp in Dachau.
