The delayed AlphaDogfight Trials has concluded and the winner is the artificial intelligence pilot from Heron Systems.
In the final part of the trial, the system from Heron Systems beat a U.S. Air Force F-16 pilot from the Weapons Instructor Course five times with no losses of its own.
The software had earlier defeated other systems from Aurora Flight Sciences, EpiSys Science, Georgia Tech Research Institute, Lockheed Martin, Perspecta Labs, PhysicsAI, and SoarTech to emerge at the top of the pack.
