Delivery of India’s new Air Force One delayed

Hindustan Times reports that the delivery of a Boeing 777 modified as the VVIP aircraft for the government has been postponed, the aircraft was originally scheduled to make the trip back home on Aug. 25.


“The delivery of the aircraft was scheduled for Aug. 25 but has been delayed due to certain operational issues. It may now take two to three weeks more to deliver,” an anonymous senior government official was quoted as saying.

Two airliners, VT-ALV and VT-ALW, arrived in the United States for modifications in June.
