The Greek government has confirmed earlier reports that the country will be acquiring 18 Dassault Rafale fighters.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the fighters will replace the Mirage 2000-5 currently in service with the Hellenic Air Force.
Mitsotakis also mentioned in his televised sppech that new guided missiles for the air force will be acquired.
