Engineering & Logistics Directorate (SEA 05) have looked at a desgin derived from an America-class, a Ford-class light and other options.
Head of SEA 05, Rear Adm. Jason Lloyd, said his Cost Engineering and Industrial Analysis team is trying to determine the operational utility and cost of each design.
