Japan has decided to review the F-15JSI program and has suspended the payment to Boeing during the review.

Japan’s Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi had discuss the issue with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin last month but both sides cannot come to an agreement over the cost of the upgrade. The United States had pushed the price up by another $2.1 billion for the entire program, citing diminishing spare parts as the reason.
