Palau invites Royal Navy Carrier Strike Group to visit island

Palau’s President Surangel Whipps told British newspaper The Telegraph that his island welcomes the Royal Navy’s Carrier Strike Group to visit during its deployment to Indo-Pacific later this year.

“If they want to come, we’ll find a way to bring them here so they can have some shore leave and enjoy our beautiful island,” Whipps was quoted as saying.

Palau is one of the few countries that recognises Taiwan instead of China.
