U.S. Navy developing tool to determine if damaged anti-ship missile can still be effective

The U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is working with the West Virginia University to develop a tool to determine if an anti-ship missile still poses a threat after being hit by an air defense weapon system.

The research and development program, also known as Damaged States, will come up with modeling tools that predict the effects of unsteady flow aerodynamics on the anti-ship missile after being hit by a air defense weapon.
