Production of the last W80-1 Alt 369 nuclear warhead completed

The U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Pantex plant in Amarillo, Texas has completed the production of the last W80-1 Alteration (Alt) 369 nuclear warhead.

The warhead is mounted within the AGM-86 air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) and is the only one of its type to be carried on a cruise missile in the U.S. nuclear stockpile.

The Alt 369 program replaces obsolescence parts in the warhead.
