Carl Vinson Strike Group arrives off Hawaii

Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1 is now operating off Hawaii, the U.S. Navy announced on Jun. 17.

CSG 1 which has USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), USS O’Kane (DDG 77), USS Howard (DDG 83), USS Chafee (DDG 90), USS Dewey (DDG 105) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) will undergo training with land-based Marine Corps and Air Force fighter squadrons. Onboard the aircraft carrier is a squadron of F-35C fighters.
