An F-16 from the 96th Test Wing released a single DEM over the target. The pilot set the DEM to conduct a precise lethal footprint attack before dropping the weapon.

The DEM has previously demonstrated its ability to conduct a wide-area attack, which can deliver effects across a vast area of the target.

The DEM is a 2,000-pound munition that uses a Joint Direct Attack Munition tail kit for guidance. It also has a Surface Target Perforation effect that detonates after the weapon punches through a structure.
