JS Izumo to commence testing with F-35B next week

Japan’s Ministry of Defense revealed on Sept. 30 that JS Izumo will commence testing with the F-35B from Oct. 3 to 7.

199th FS awarded Winston P. Wilson Trophy for year 2021

The 199th Fighter Squadron of the Hawaii Air National Guard has been awarded the Winston P. Wilson Trophy for the year 2021.

The Winston P. Wilson Trophy for 2021 is displayed at the Hawaii Air National Guard’s 199th Fighter Squadron on Sept. 28, 2021, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The 199th FS was recognized on behalf of the National Guard Association of the U.S., setting the unit apart from more than 30 other flying squadrons equipped with fighter and reconnaissance aircraft. The trophy is bestowed annually to recognize top-performing units, based on overall effectiveness during exercises, deployments, inspection results, accident prevention and many other significant contributions.
