Japan to launch 3-satellite constellation this decade for detection of HGV

Japan will proceed with a plan to launch three small satellites into space by this decade for the detection of hypersonic glide vehicle.

The government is expected to spend $525 million to send these satellites into space. They are expected to orbit around 400 km above the ground and each satellite weighs between 100 to 500 kg.
