The U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has awarded a research contract to Stratolaunch for rapid-turnaround hypersonic flight testing.

The company will use its Talon-A hypersonic vehicles to act as a threat-representative and threat-replicating target.
Talon-A testing will commence in 2022 and government and commercial customers can procure its services in 2023.
