British Apaches deploy to Finland for Exercise Arrow 24

The Finnish Air Force will welcome a contingent of British Army attack helicopters for a joint exercise later this month. Six AH-64E Apache helicopters and approximately 130 British soldiers will participate in Exercise Arrow 24, a large-scale Finnish Army maneuver led by the Armoured Brigade.

Honoring Mustang 22

The Nevada Army Guard is adding a permanent tribute to the crew of Mustang 22, a Chinook helicopter shot down in Afghanistan in 2005. A CH-47 Chinook helicopter, permanently grounded due to bullet hole damage, will be placed as a static display at the Mustang 22 Memorial located at the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) in Reno, Nevada.

Taiwan successfully test-fires new Land Sword II Air Defense Missile System

Taiwan successfully test-fired its domestically developed Land Sword II air defense missile system on Apr. 15th from the Jiupeng Military Base in Pingtung County during Exercise Divine Bow. The test, originally scheduled for Apr. 9th, was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions.

U.S. Army debuts Typhoon missile system in Philippines for Exercise Salaknib 24

The U.S. Army deployed its novel Mid-Range Capability (MRC) missile system for the first time in the Philippines, marking a historic moment in U.S.-Philippine defense cooperation. The system arrived in Northern Luzon on Apr. 11 to participate in Exercise Salaknib 24.
